In my mind, this one picture of Ethan Maddocks and Aluta Tonjeni together symbolizes how I see our beautiful country!

When you remove the trolls and the politicians who strive to divide our nation, this is what we are left with. Two boys who love each other like brothers, walking out of their final matric exam.

You have been friends since you were little. You always have each other’s backs. I am so proud of you both for embracing your own culture as well as each other’s. I am so proud of everything that you both are. Of everything that you will both become.

You are loved. We are family…and that’s why I’m staying!
