Why #ImStaying? It is because I have an obligation to teach my kids the spirit of UBUNTU.
This is my son, Lindokuhle, preparing ladies gift bags (out of his yearly savings) that he handed over to the ladies at Haven of Hope Homeless Shelter in Durban during his 17th birthday.
Ever since he was 15, he did not want gifts for his birthday except contributions towards his charity hampers. This is a family tradition, and he wants to do more of these acts as he says it makes him feel complete. He aims to open a laboratory. He has a heart of gold while other teenagers are using their earnings buying various gadgets, he spent his on those less fortunate than him. I was touched when he said this to us, his family, that he would like to do this yearly.
I would not have asked for a better gift than this, and for that #ImStaying.
