“Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.

~ Bishop Desmond Tutu (Nobel Peace Prize 1984)

I am the secretary for Religions for Peace SA, the largest international coalition of representatives from the world’s great religions dedicated to promoting peace.

The mission of the Religions for Peace coalition is to transform violent conflict, advance human development, promote just and harmonious societies and protect the earth.

The spirit of unity and open heartedness was so inspiring

Last Sunday we invited the public to a morning of meditation, yoga with inter-faith prayers, and discussion.  Bahais, Buddhists, Christians, Hindus, Muslims, and other individuals came together for such an amazing day of sharing.

The spirit of unity and open-heartedness was so inspiring and it made me so proud to be a part of our South African society that respects religious diversity and takes it a step closer to actual collaboration!
