Good Thoughts, Good Words, and Good Deeds lie at the very heart of #ImStaying. While people are our passion, we also pledge our unconditional love and devotion to our exquisite natural heritage.

Did you know that tourism is the driving force behind our wildlife economy? In 2018, it contributed as much as R139 billion to South Africa’s GDP.

The local economy experienced a considerable slump during the course of the year, impacting the livelihoods of countless South Africans. The dark cloud of financial security boasts a silver lining, however: a steadily-growing wildlife economy that not only facilitates skills development and job creation, but preserves our dynamic and diverse ecosystems for generations to come as well.

South Africans have bragging rights to one of the most beautiful and diverse natural landscapes in the world. By conserving our wildlife, South African tourism will continue to thrive as local and international tourists flock to our nature reserves, game lodges, and safari camps. The industry, which accounts for 4.6% of the total employment in the country will, in turn, boost the economy significantly which is exactly the type of Good News #ImStaying is known to align itself with.

In order for the wildlife economy to continue growing, operative partnerships are required between the government, the private sector, and the general public.

#ImStaying is therefore very excited to announce the launch of #WildlifeWednesdays for the last quarter of 2020 in collaboration with Wild Hospitality.

The brand represents a range of game lodges, safari camps, activities, hotels, and resort across Southern Africa. It focuses on elevating the establishment within its portfolio by means of effective and sustainable sales, marketing, and reservation solutions. By providing guests with memorable experiences and actively promoting wildlife conservation, Wild Hospitality contributes considerably to the local wildlife economy.

The collaboration between Wild Hospitality and #ImStaying will see members of SA’s biggest feel-good community gain insight into wildlife conservation in the country, encouraging and empowering them to actively partake in these efforts.

Through the introduction of #WildlifeWednesdays, #ImStaying further aims to draw attention to a number of its root causes: #Education, #Entrepreneurship, and #SkillsDevelopment.
